Michiel Lensink is the CEO of ETPA, a Power Exchange contributing to the energy transition with innovative energy trading solutions. Since assuming this role in May 2023, Michiel has been leading ETPA’s efforts to become a key player in the power sector. With over two decades of entrepreneurial experience, Michiel has successfully founded and led multiple companies in the technology and cleantech sectors. He is also a dedicated advisor and board member, mentoring startups on strategy, funding, and growth.

Jan Willem has over 20 years of experience in the energy market and worked for some of the larger utilities. Early 2020, Jan Willem sold his previous companies Greenspread and Greencrowd to private equity concern NPM Capital. Since his departure in October 2020, Jan Willem works as an independent consultant at Stratergy. Stratergy advises funds, banks, utilities, and large consumers and producers of energy and specializes in maximizing asset value and minimizing financial risk.

Gerard Reid is a Co-founder and Partner at Alexa Capital, an independent financial services business committed to mobilizing capital towards achieving net-zero. He is also a Fellow at the Institute of the Environment at the University of Minnesota and a member of the Global Future Council on Advanced Energy Technologies at the World Economic Forum. Gerard has developed a strong reputation as a leading global expert in the energy and mobility space. A trusted authority on the energy transition, he is a published author and avid blogger, with a following of more than 200k across several platforms. He is also the co-host of “REDEFINING ENERGY” podcast, the leading energy podcast in Europe. He is focused on empowering and accelerating change by advising organizations, industry leaders and global decision-makers (business, finance and government) on the transition towards net-zero carbon emissions. His breadth of experience stems from 20 years working in the finance industry (equity research, fund management and corporate finance) with a focus on both the energy transition and the digital energy revolution the sector is going through. Prior to founding Alexa Capital, he was Managing Director and Head of European Cleantech Research at Jefferies & Co. Gerard was also a lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences in Berlin, TU Berlin and Imperial College in London.

My clients include utilities, investors, regulators, legislators, and NGOs, both in transaction and strategic settings. As part of Strategy&'s energy practice I help clients make the right decisions. I lead the Energy, Utilities & Resources Industry for PwC Netherlands and I am part of the Global Energy Practice Leadership Team, responsible for our Power & Utilities Advisory Practice.

Mr. Sylvain Cognet-Dauphin is the EU Power & Renewables Lead and Executive Director , leading the analysis of power markets across Europe at S&P Global Commodity Insights. His responsibilities include regulatory and policy assessments, power outlooks, and analyzing the strategic implications for market players. Prior to joining S&P Global, Mr. Cognet-Dauphin served as the Chief Analyst at ENGIE’s Center of Expertise in Economic and Modeling Studies, where he managed a team of internal consultants focused on strategic studies and asset valuations. Before ENGIE, he was a Senior Principal Researcher at IHS Markit, contributing to power and gas consulting assignments in the Middle East, North Africa, and Wider Europe. Mr. Cognet-Dauphin holds a master’s degree from École des Mines de Paris, France, and has completed executive education programs in corporate finance at the London Business School, United Kingdom.

Florian Mayr, partner at Apricum, is an expert on strategy, business development and transaction advisory in the global renewable energy markets, including energy storage. Florian leads Apricum’s energy storage, green hydrogen and digital energy activities. In particular, he supports Apricum’s clients in successfully accessing new markets and seizing attractive business opportunities. He is also active in advising cleantech companies on corporate and project financing, including M&A, fund raising and due diligence. In addition, he is a regular contributor to external publications and a frequently booked speaker on the topic of energy storage. Prior to Apricum, Florian spent a decade in senior positions at McKinsey & Company and RWE, where he was mainly involved in strategy development projects both in the conventional and renewable energy sectors. Florian holds a master’s degree in engineering from the Technical University of Berlin, and an MBA from the Technical University of Berlin and the University of Mannheim.

Wilko Schuijff is Head of Pricing and Portfolio Management bij Eneco Energy Trade B.V.. He has in-depth knowledge and broad experience in the Energy Business (Grid operator, Trade and Supply) and processes. Over the past 5 years his focus is on commodity risk management, hedging, deal structuring, acquisitions of energy companies/assets and development of new business in the area of the Dutch energy transition.

Jon Ferris has spent his career in the energy sector, focusing on making the industry function better for consumers by helping them take control of the risks associated with their energy needs. Since starting in 2005 at the inception of flexible energy contracts, he has developed trading and reporting systems, as well as automated market information and data services, to support some of the largest businesses in managing their exposure to the energy markets. This eventually led to the establishment of a trading desk managing 12 TWh of wholesale power and gas. Jon has also supported new entrants in bringing competition to the markets and developed innovative retail products that facilitate market access for smaller companies. His deep understanding of energy policy, technological developments, and their impacts on markets has helped bring transparency to costs and their drivers, enabling businesses to better understand and optimize their energy consumption.

Yves Desbazeille represents the European nuclear industry toward European decision-makers in Brussels and other European capital cities and decides the way forward on priorities and actions. Yves is a French national, born in Toulon (south of France). He has spent many years abroad (in Belgium and South-East Asia). Engineer by training, he holds a master’s in business administration. He started his career in nuclear engineering and then he had many experiences in project development and project management of nuclear, hydropower, and gas plant projects. Later he was also involved in EU affairs with his former employer EDF.

Peter Thompson is a Director at Baringa, leading the global gas and LNG market advisory team. He has over 18 years of experience in the provision of business advice to global energy clients, including: supply, marketing and trading business change; gas monetization and early stage project development support; contract review and analysis; market and price assessment and analysis; supporting lenders and equity investors in due diligence process for multi-billion dollar gas assets; development of commercial operational processes and procedures in energy projects around the world. This work is undertaken on behalf of a range of clients, including international and national oil and gas companies, utilities, government and financial institutions. At Baringa he is responsible for the oversight and management of the global gas model, which provides detailed market outlooks, integrated with Baringa’s wider set of energy market analytics tools including in respect of energy transition pathways, power and hydrogen.

Alfonso Rancano is Business Development Manager for Onshore Power Iberia at Shell. With over a decade of experience, Alfonso has held key roles with leading companies in the industry, including Alion Power and Global Cleantech Capital. His expertise spans the entire project lifecycle, from initial feasibility studies and site selection to financing, permitting, and construction management. Alfonso's hands-on experience with these companies has provided him with invaluable insights into the nuances of the renewable energy sector, making him a trusted advisor and thought leader in the field.

Jan-Phillip is part of Encavis AG’s investment team and based in Hamburg, Germany. Since joining the German IPP in 2020 he has lead PV transactions in Germany, The Netherlands and Spain where he was responsible for contract negotiations (SPA, EPC, Project Financing, etc.), due diligence process and financial valuation. Jan-Phillip is particularly interested in creating client-driven, subsidy-free business cases for renewables.

Kim specialises in transaction support as an independent market and economic advisor for major power project developers, financiers, and fuel suppliers. In total, he has supported the successful completion of 72GW of conventional and renewable power projects and 726MIGD of water desalination projects with a transaction value of USD44 billion over the past 23 years, including 15GW in Spain since 2018. Experience across most of Europe, parts of Asia, the Middle East, and North Africa. Partner at K4K (international focus) and EKON (focused on Spain and Portugal). André has been active in the energy sector since 2005, when he joined Delta Energy as a quantitative analyst on the trade floor. He also headed the analysis department and was instrumental in setting up optimization strategies for PZEM’s assets. After a period of a year at DNWG, the network operations company of Delta, where he optimized resource planning, he returned to the trade floor to manage the Asset Optimization team and later became manager of Trading and Asset Optimization. André has represented PZEM in various roles for PZEM's assets, including a nuclear power plant, CCGT, CHP, biomass power plant and an offshore wind farm. In his different roles, André built up a wealth of knowledge on trading, portfolio management, and energy operations, as well as Remit, market rules and best practices.

Balthasar Klimbie studies Power Electronics and Energy and Policy at the Eindhoven University of Technology. Since then his work has been alternating between policy advice on one side and project development on the other. From advice at CE-Delft to project development at Solarplaza and later wind energy development at Fortis Wind Energy, back to advice for the European Commission to support African countries in their offgrid policies. Now he is working at TenneT TSO on the topic of Target Grid, TenneTs strategy to deal with the energy transition which consist out of implementing €160 billion of investments but also the policy and stakeholder changes needed to make it a success.

Simon De Clercq is Senior Associate at Aurora Energy Research. He leads the Belgian and Dutch research team and manages Aurora’s products on the Dutch and Belgian power and flexibility markets. Prior to joining Aurora, Simon was based in Mozambique where he advised the Mozambican government on the mobilization of climate finance. Before that, he worked as a strategy and policy consultant in Brussels.

Investment professional with 18 years of expertise in energy infrastructure, business, and project development, and a proven track record in executing successful M&A transactions across multiple European markets and diverse asset classes. Demonstrated experience in senior roles at leading organizations, including E.ON, MEAG, and APG, where I contributed to strategic growth and led complex projects. Skilled in overseeing business development and holding supervisory positions across several companies, with a strong focus on operational excellence and value creation.

Siebren Zijlstra is CFO of GroenLeven. Before that Siebren assisted, as a Manager of the Business Development / M&A department of TenneT and owner of Sinne Wente, 10 years (2009-2018) in equity financing initiatives, M&A transactions and new business development / digitisation initiatives primarily with TenneT within the electricity and telecommunications sector. Siebren presents regularly as keynote speaker on strategic developments in society from a technological and capital markets perspective. The work at TenneT was preceded by setting up a Dutch office for Babcock & Brown, an Australian-based infrastructure investor. Siebren was Investment Director in Munich and Amsterdam originating and executing deals in North-West Europe (2006-2008). Prior to joining Babcock & Brown, Siebren worked within TenneT (2003-2005) in the areas finance, regulation, control, strategy and organisational development. Siebren started his professional career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, working for 5 years in the Corporate Finance division (1997-2002). Siebren holds degrees from the University Groningen, CFA Institute and INSEAD and has done edX courses on Solar Energy and Next Generation Infrastructures I / II from TU Delft.

Bastiaan Haakman serves as a Senior Director within ABN AMRO's Project & Infrastructure Finance team. Specializing in the key transition themes of Energy Transition, Digital Transition, and Mobility Transition, Bastiaan is a seasoned finance professional with over two decades of experience in corporate finance, leveraged finance, and structured finance. Having established and led the Dutch Project Finance team at ABN AMRO, he now contributes to the international team while maintaining responsibility for the Dutch market within these transition themes. He collaborates with dedicated experts to advance initiatives in renewable energy, energy storage, broadband infrastructure, data centers, EV charging infrastructure, and electric vehicle fleets. Additionally, Bastiaan imparts his expertise as a trainer and educator in financial transaction structuring and credit risk analysis.

Edwin founded Solarplaza company in 2004. He is a senior PV expert and started in the photovoltaic solar energy business in 1994. He has experience as a solar energy consultant and project developer in more than 200 PV projects. Edwin holds a Master’s degree in Chemical engineering and previously worked in the Chemical industry before starting his first consultancy company in PV in 1994.
