She is the Founder of sociallicense.energy, a team of experts in Sustainability and Social Innovation for renewable energy and storage projects, committed to facilitating the social acceptance through an in-depth analysis of the local context and the implementation of customized strategies to ensure their success. The methodology used allows local communities to identify with projects throughout their life cycle, creating the conditions for lasting consensus and generating value for companies and communities.

Jose Luis is Head of Asset Management in Galp, with more than 10 years experience in renewable energy market, has worked in different phases of a project, trying to understand the complexity of each phase and creating a whole picture of how an asset shall be managed. Focus now in create a new way of manage the renewable assets, joined to Galp in 2020, a leader company with 1.4 GWp of solar assets under operation in Iberia, Jose Luis has the challenge of help to decarbonize a company which origin comes from the O&G market.

Kim specialises in transaction support as independent market and economic advisor for major power project developers, financiers and fuel suppliers. In total, he has supported the successful completion of 72GW of conventional and renewable power projects and 726MIGD of water desalination projects with a transaction value of USD44 billion over the past 23 years, including 15GW in Spain since 2018. Carmen Longás Head of Access to the Grid Department in Red Eléctrica, the Spanish Transmission and System Operator. She holds an Industrial Engineer Master’s Degree from the University of Zaragoza. She has more than fourteen years of experience in renewable energy and power electronics integration within the grid, as well as in applying regulations related to the access to the grid, development, and commissioning of new projects connected to the transmission network.

Since 20 years Florian Edler is involved in the photovoltaic industry. With an engineering background he started in an internationally active system integrator and gathered first experiences in the Spanish market between 2002 – 2006. In 2012 he joined Enerparc and since 2017 he is - based in Madrid - responsible for its activities in Spain focusing on development, implementation and operation of large photovoltaic power plants.

Fernando Ruiz, Senior Energy Trading Product Manager at Isotrol since 2007, brings over 15 years of solid experience in the energy and industrial sectors. Holding an Official Master's degree in Thermal Energy Systems from the Higher School of Engineers at the University of Seville, along with certifications in Occupational Risk Prevention and Business, his education and expertise position him as a prominent expert in energy trading, particularly in short-term markets. Throughout his career, Fernando has led teams and held key roles as a senior consultant in strategically significant projects. His notable contributions include designing and implementing global offer platforms for wholesale electricity markets and executing energy efficiency initiatives in collaboration with the European Commission. His ability to work in multicultural environments and his fluency in English and Spanish have made him an indispensable contributor to international projects, where he stands out for his innovative approach and commitment to excellence in every task he undertakes.

With more than 15 years of experience in the energy sector, Rafael has worked in companies that represent energy producers and suppliers, as well as in different business consulting firms in the sector, developing strategies and operating models for energy management and revenue optimisation focused on power generation assets.

Daniel Nilsson has 20+ years of experience in leading international operations across the Mediterranean, specializing in real estate and clean energy sectors. He has successfully managed the expansion and growth of Svea Solar, a leading residential solar EPC, and led the turnaround and restructuring of Green Solar International, a utility-scale solar-for-hydrogen developer in Spain. Currently, Daniel is driving business development at Bright Sunday, focusing on the Spanish and Portuguese markets, as well as broader European regions. Bright Sunday offers innovative self consumption solar PV systems and ancillary services with zero upfront investments. Daniel holds an MBA from Linköping University, Sweden, and has pursued additional studies in economics and management at ESADE Business and Law School.

Originally born in Barcelona and currently based in Madrid, Ana has gained over 10 years of experience on the renewable energy sector across several jurisdictions. Currently leading the Asset Management team in Foresight Group Iberia, developing and improving the operation of projects under management with a methodology of leadership and planning that allows the optimization and profitability of the assets.

With over sixteen years of experience in the PV sector, Carolina Nester's career began in 2007 as a solar module manufacturing Process Engineer spanning into the field of solar installation permitting, design, construction management, commissioning and subsequent supervision and control of solar assets. In 2012 she diversified her experience in the area of PV consulting supporting the development and management of net metering solar installations. The experience gained through 2014 allowed her to make the transition to the discipline of Asset Management covering the Technical and Commercial Asset Management scope of the discipline managing assets for a total of 200 MWp. Since joining Sonnedix in 2017, Carolina has evolved into the role of Head of Asset Management for Iberia being responsible for the overall performance and optimization of a 300 M€ revenue solar asset portfolio. Carolina holds an Industrial Mechanical Engineer degree by Universidad Politécnica de Valencia.

Antonio brings over 15 years of experience in the renewable sector, working in both wind and solar across major global markets. He's delivered software solutions, services, consultancy, and equipment to top utilities and IPPs worldwide, contributing to the development, operation, and optimization of over 25GW of renewable energy globally. With a master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Sevilla and an advanced program in Sales Management from ESIC Business School, Antonio has led Business Development and Sales Management efforts for European and North American companies for over 10 years now. His contributions extend beyond corporate realms, as he actively engages in partnerships with influential organizations such as GWEC, AFSIA, and SolarEurope, further amplifying his impact on global sustainability efforts.

Josefin Berg, Associate Director in the Clean Energy Technology group at S&P Global Commodity Insights, analyzes the trends and strategies in the downstream photovoltaic (PV) market. Her focus areas include PV demand and forecasts, company strategies (developers and engineering, procurement, and construction providers); mergers and acquisitions, costs, and the integration of PV in the power generation mix. Ms. Berg authors reports on PV markets and trends, and she regularly speaks at industry events. Ms. Berg holds a Master of Science in environmental engineering from Uppsala University, Sweden. She speaks English, French, Spanish, and Swedish and is based in Barcelona, Spain.

PeP Malagrava is a psychologist and energy consultant. Since 2019, he served in the energy department of the Balearic Government as a special advisor to the Vice President. He collaborated in creating the Balearic Energy Institute, which now manages more than 20 collective self-consumption projects, reducing energy bills for the public. From 2021 to 2023, he held the position of Director General of Energy and Climate Change in the Balearic Islands Government. During his tenure, the region deployed over 200 million euros in subsidies to promote self-consumption, e-mobility, and energy efficiency. Currently, PeP Malagrava manages energy communities and works as an energy consultant focusing on renewable deployment. One of his primary areas of interest is social license, working to promote social acceptance of renewables to combat climate change more effectively.

Paul Moldovan has more than 15 years experience in management, in the construction field. He founded Parapet in 2009, starting with road safety projects and continuing with renewable power plants. His vast technical expertise and experience in the construction sector is reflected in a portfolio of over 260 PV and Hybrid projects, built in 15 countries across Europe. He has a diploma in civil engineering, at Technical University of Cluj-Napoca.

Alfonso de la Lastra joined Lightsource bp in 2020 as a Senior Business Development Manager. Alfonso is a seasoned professional with a remarkable experience both in the renewable industry and the financial sector. Prior to his current role, he worked as Business Developer Manager Spain and Portugal at Solarig, and before that he held several roles from Area Manager at Banesto to General Manager of Caja Rural de Soria, among others.

Michael obtained his Engineer’s degree at Mines ParisTech (France) and his Ph.D. at Stanford (USA). As an academic in Silicon Valley, he witnessed the boom of cleantech venture capital and entrepreneurship and went on to become a management consultant at McKinsey & Company in Paris. In 2009, he founded Clean Horizon, a consultancy entirely dedicated to energy storage. Since its creation, Clean Horizon has been acting as a one-stop shop energy storage consultancy, acting mostly across Europe, Middle East, Africa and the Latin America. Michael speaks French, English and (some) Spanish.

Miguel Galatas is the COO and one of the founders of nTeaser, the digital marketplace for renewable energy projects. Miguel holds a degree in business administration, specialized in entrepreneurship and innovation. He started his career working for both energy and tech companies alike before launching nTeaser. Today, he is now focused on equity transactions and more specifically, in bringing transparency and efficiency to this sector thanks to digitalization. nTeaser has become a benchmark in the acquisition of renewable projects, with +100 projects and +5GW for sale, including solar PV, windpower, BESS, and soon, also green hydrogen and biogas projects.

Renata is an Investment Manager with Solas Capital AG, a sustainable investment advisor headquartered in Zürich. Solas Capital is a specialist investment advisory firm founded and managed by professionals from the energy efficiency financing sector. Through the development of innovative financing solutions Solas Capital's mission is to support the move to a carbon neutral society. By understanding both the funding needs of energy efficiency projects and the requirements of institutional investors, Solas Capital bridges the gap between investors and projects. Solas Capital is the investment advisor to the Solas Sustainable Energy Fund, a EUR220m debt fund which is supported by Munich Re, the European Investment Bank and the LIFE-programme of the European Commission. Renata is currently focussed on the deployment of the SSEF, working to ensure that the financing is available to energy service companies (ESCOs) to accelerate the EU’s energy transition. Over the past year she has focussed on self-consumption PV and energy communities in Europe, working closely with ESCOs to understand their business models and provide long-term debt financing that matches their needs as well as those of their customers (typically the off-takers). Prior to joining Solas Capital, Renata worked in the private equity infrastructure investment team at SwissLife and she previously worked together with other Solas Capital team members in energy efficiency investments. She holds a Bachelors in Business and Management, and an MSc in Financial Management, and is a CAIA Charterholder.

Rafael Cruz is Counsel at the Energy Department of Eversheds Sutherland Madrid office. He leads and coordinates transactions for both international and domestic clients in the energy sector. Rafael has more than 20 years’ experience in mergers & acquisitions, project finance, joint ventures, reorganizations, and arbitration, with special focus on infrastructures and energy since 2008. He worked at the law firms Linklaters and Allen&Overy between 2001 and 2013. Then he joined the Spanish renewable investment fund Plenium Partners as general legal counsel from 2013 to 2018, building up a renewable portfolio of more than 1,200MW installed capacity. Before joining Eversheds Spain, Rafael has been General Counsel of the Thermal Division and member of the Executive Management Committee at ContourGlobal for more than three years, managing a multinational portfolio of energy plants including 18 countries in three continents and +150 companies.

Investment Professional with a background in Finance worked as a relationship manager in the Corporate Banking division of HSBC on structured financings of up to 150m USD for companies in automotive, real estate, and retail sectors. Deyanira holds an MBA from the Frankfurt School of Finance and has nearly 1GW experience in Renewable Energy deals that involved review, analysis, structuring, and negotiation at RTB and operational stages in Europe, Latin America, and the Caribbean.

Tiago is the Head of Origination for Statkraft in Iberia. He joined Statkraft 9 years ago as Head of Biofuels Physical Trading and for the last nearly 6 years is heading the Origination team in Spain and Portugal. In addition to develop Statkraft’s presence in the Iberian market, he is responsible for a team of Originators based in Madrid, Spain working to find structured solutions to hedge electricity volume and price risk for RES developers as well as Utilities and Corporates/Industrials. Previously to joining Statkraft in 2014, he was for 10 years a Corporate Finance consultant in Accenture in Lisbon, Portugal and London, UK. Tiago is an engineer with a specialization in Industrial Processes and Engineering and has more than 10 years of experience in project management and corporate finance and a further 10 years of experience in the Renewable sector. At Statkraft we have signed close to 100 PPAs in Iberia during the past 5 years and are therefore one of the most active offtakers in the market with extensive experience in valuing market, pricing, legal and operational risks.

Alfonso Rancano Campllonch has a role of Renewable Energies Business Development at Shell. With over a decade of experience, Alfonso has held key roles with leading companies in the industry, including Solar Solutions Co. and GreenTech Renewables. His expertise spans the entire project lifecycle, from initial feasibility studies and site selection to financing, permitting, and construction management. Alfonso's hands-on experience with these companies has provided him with invaluable insights into the nuances of the renewable energy sector, making him a trusted advisor and thought leader in the field.

Rafael Gómez-Elvira holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and a PDG from IESE Business School. He is currently Director of Public Affairs and Marketing of the OMI Group, the operator of the Iberian Electricity Market, and, since September 2020, Chairman of the EU's Nominated Electricity Market Operators (NEMO) Committee. From October 2017 to September 2018, he served as Chairman of the Nominated Electricity Market Operator of the European day-ahead market. He joined OMIE, part of the OMI Group, in February 2012 as Director of the Chairman & CEO’s Office. In 2017, he was appointed Director of European Affairs, a position he held until April 2019, when he assumed his current role. Rafael has more than 25 years of experience in energy regulation at the national and European level.

Oriol Saltó i Bauzà is an Associate Partner at AleaGreen. He has a Ph.D. in Physics from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He has 20 years of experience in data analysis and modeling both in the context of scientific research and energy markets. At AleaSoft, for more than ten years, he has been at the forefront of the development of forecasting models for the European energy markets: electricity, gas, oil, and CO2, among others.

Mrs María Trinidad is the current Managing Director of ErasmoPower2X, leading the growth of the company with a focus on green hydrogen and renewable power development. Maria has more than 17 years of business development and M&A experience. Prior to working at ErasmoPower2x and Soto Solar, she occupied different positions in Repsol and Repsol renewables, leading international transactions worldwide.

Javier Gala has an experience of over 15 years working in the Renewable Energy Transition. He is an internationally recognized professional in the sector with highly qualified technical and management skills. His skills are: EPC Contract, FIDIC, FEED, Project Management, Bids Manager, Team Management, Team Leading, Teams Start-Up, Technical Advisory, Project Finance, Internationalization, Tendering Documentation. He is currently managing one of the most important and recognized engineering and consultancy firm worldwide in the Renewable Energy sector, supporting IPPs, Developers, funds and lenders in their way to the Renewable Energy Transition, providing Owners Engineering, LTA, DD, EYA and any other service required for the development of new Renewable Energy Plants.

Roger is the Global Head of Project Finance at Banco Sabadell. He joined Sabadell in 2002 in the structured finance department and since then he has held several positions. In 2008 he became Head of Corporate Finance Barcelona and in 2013 he was appointed Head of the newly created Middle Market Department until January 2019 when he became Head of Project Finance Energy. I have graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from American University in Washington DC, MBA from ESADE Business School and PDG from IESE Business School.

Lucía is responsible for energy positioning and procurement strategy at Urbener, authorized agent by the market operator and the TSO of Spain. She represents direct consumers in the wholesale market. Lucía's expertise in energy markets gives her clients the optimal strategy based on the nature of their activity and manages bilateral contracts between producers and consumers. Her studies in European project management at ESADE have enabled her to lead significant European research projects in renewable energies.

Peter Plug is the Vice President and Global Head of Renewable Energy at AFRY, an engineering and consulting organization dedicated to promoting positive change and accelerating the transition to a more sustainable society. Peter's responsibilities include establishing and implementing AFRY's renewable energy growth plan, with an emphasis on achieving strategic goals and driving financial performance. Peter has a master's degree in public administration from Leiden University (cum laude) as well as a master's degree in political science and government from Syracuse University's Maxwell School. In addition to his position at AFRY, Peter serves on the Supervisory Board of Innovam in the Netherlands, contributing to the organization's training, testing, certification, and consultancy services for the broader mobility sector.

Lucía is the Head of the Energy practice at Ontier. She has extensive experience in renewable energy transactions and international bidding processes, advising national and international clients in the acquisition and construction of renewable assets. Lucia graduated in law at University of Santiago de Compostela, followed by a Master's Degree in Legal Consultancy at Instituto de Empresa (IE). She complemented her studies with courses in Communication in Business from Harvard University (Boston, MA) and Private International Law at The Hague Academy of International Law (The Hague, Netherlands). In 2009 she began her professional career in the legal department of Gestamp Group, which and continued in Cobra, the industrial subsidiary of ACS Group. In 2014 Lucia joined the Corporate Department of BDO Abogados, where she provided legal advice to national and international companies, especially in contracting, corporate restructuring and company acquisitions; additionally, she collaborated with the Real Estate department. Lucía joined Ontier in 2017, forming part of the Corporate Law, Mergers and Acquisitions department until her appointment as partner of the Energy Area in 2022. Within her teaching experience, highlight her participation in the steering committee and as a professor of the course on renewable energy law at the University of Navarra, in addition to being a collaborating professor at the Instituto de Empresa (IE) and the University Pablo de Olavide. She has also participated as author and co-author in numerous specialized legal publications. Member of the Madrid Bar Association.

Alejandro is Director of Ecologic Transition at beBartlet, the first public advocacy cabinet of Spain. He is the former Director of Regulation and Studies of UNEF, the Spanish Photovoltaic Association. He holds an Industrial Engineer degree from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and a Master in Power Sector Regulation from ICAI Comillas. He has more than ten years of experience in economic and regulatory analysis of the power sector in Spain.

Javier Revuelta is a Senior Principal in the consulting firm AFRY (former Pöyry), where he leads the advisory services in the power sector mainly in Spain and Latam, mostly focussed in market and regulatory work for investors, consumers and regulators. He has 16 years of experience in the sector, of which 8 years in the Spanish Transmission System Operator, in System Operation and System Planning areas. He is an Electrical Engineer from Comillas ICAI, and holds an MBA from INSEAD Business School.

Marco has eighteen years of international experience in the management of assets, and operation and maintenance throughout various industries, including seven years in the solar industry. He has been paving his career path towards full asset management services since beginning his career with ABB, integrating its full-service team for industrial assets.Following this, Marco worked at Transdev-Veolia, focused on business and asset management for Light Rail networks in Europe. In 2010 he became founder and global Head of Martifer Solar´s O&M and Service Business, driving the strategic direction while leading a team of more than 100 employees, where he became Executive Committee Member as the representative of O&M and, accumulated with the responsibility of leading the EPC global business in 2015, until leaving the company in 2017. Martifer Solar operated in more than 20 countries as a global reputed Developer, EPC turnkey provider and one of the most relevant O&M Global Service providers for Solar assets.In 2018 he co-founded and integrated as General Manger the company MTX Solar - a provider of innovative solutions and services for the players of the solar industry, with own competences for the whole chain of value of Solar, present in two continents.Marco received his MSC in Electrical Engineering and completed an Executive MBA in Management from University of Porto Business School/IE Madrid. He speaks Portuguese, English, and Spanish, with a working proficiency in the French language.

Catalina Bauza Llinas holds a degree in Law, a Master’s in international Relations and Foreign Trade, a MBA in International Management and an Executive Development Program (PDD) at IESE Business School. Catalina is an accomplished professional with 20 years of experience in international business development, consultancy & advisory, and project management in several countries: including 12 years in the renewable energy sector. She has combined her legal background and her commercial intuition to create networks of key players and build strategic alliances & partnerships in the renewable energy and sustainability markets, with a strong emphasis on digitalization, innovation, disruptive technology, and ecological transition.

Tomás García is the lead Senior Director of the Energy & Infrastructure Advisory practice in Spain & Portugal at JLL (Jones Lang LaSalle) since April 2020. In this role, he leads the team providing transactional and financial advisory services for renewable energy assets in Iberia. Prior to this, Tomás was the Managing Director of the Solar & Wind Projects business in Spain & Portugal at BayWa r.e. (2019). Prior to this role, he was the Head of Business Development EMEA, Energy Group at Canadian Solar (2017-2018). Before that he served at SunEdison as General Manager, Rural Electrification EMEA (2014-2015) and as Head of Strategy & Market Development EMEA & LATAM (2011-2014). Before that Tomás was Market Strategy Manager at First Solar (2008-2011) and a Strategy Consultant at the Monitor Group (2004-2008). Additionally, he has also worked as a Venture Capitalist, Research Scientist (doing science on solar PV materials), University Teacher and FX Trader. Tomás was a PhD student at Florida International University, earned his MSci at King’s College London and his Masters degree in Physics at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. He is fluent in Spanish and English and functional in Italian.

Antonio Domínguez joined Quintas Energy in 2014 as an associate in the company’s Asset Management department. After becoming contract manager, he moved on to a Senior Analyst position within Quintas Analytics, before his promotion to Head of Analytics in 2021. Antonio graduated from the University of Pablo de Olavide in 2015, with a twin degree in Law and Business Administration. He went on to gain further qualifications in these subjects from Washington & Jefferson College in the USA, the Catholic University of Lyon, and Universidad Francisco de Vitoria in Madrid. As Head of Analytics, he has overall responsibility for the business unit’s activities, as well as for implementing business intelligence tools, developing process automation solutions, creating bespoke interactive reports for clients, and overseeing digitization projects within the renewable energy industry.

With 10 years of experience in the solar industry in Chile and Europe, Jonathan Jay is the General Manager of CVE España, part of CVE group (450 persons in 5 countries, 800MW of PV asset base, 200GWh/yr of biogas assets). Since 2019, Jonathan Jay has been based in Madrid, where he was in charge of the PPA activities in Europe for Sonnedix. In this role, he structured and negotiated long-term sales PPA contracts (totaling 500MW of closed transactions) with large utilities as well as electro-intensive industrial clients. Previously, Jonathan worked in Chile for 5 years with Total Energies, as PPA Origination Manager, and with Sonnedix as Business Development Manager.

A winner of numerous international awards and one of the awardees of Forbes 30 Under 30, Govinda is a serial clean-tech entrepreneur. A climate & energy researcher by qualification, he studied in multiple top European & Indian universities. He was primarily working on weather, climate, micro-climate dynamics, and their modelling during his Ph.D. from EPFL, Switzerland. In his second startup SmartHelio, backed by Y Combinator, they have developed a predictive software solution that can prevent downtime in solar plants. By using AI and physics principles, they can predict faults in real time and ensure that maintenance staff are taking proactive measures before any damage occurs

Álvaro is an independent entrepreneur with a passion for surfing. Before the accident that changed his life, he lived in a time where he lived in his own paradise; waves, business, friends and possibilities. ‘Searching for the perfect wave’ found the perfect test, one of those where everything is either lost or gained. On an excursion to an inhospitable part of the island, he felt off a cliff and had to survive in isolation, with serious injuries, for almost three days. This incredible story of how he escaped death is told in the film ‘SOLO’ (Netflix). It was an experience that allowed him to observe that fear, doubt and uncertainty accumulate a lot of energy that can be channelled towards the development of the maximum inner potential. This experience led him to study psychology, mindfulness and coaching, which he uses to motivate every type of audience. A story of constant change and adaptation.

Marco Sancho Pestana is a Project Manager at Solarplaza, as well as an Ph.D. Researcher.

Alejandro Bonitch advises Spanish and foreign clients on all matters related to the energy sector, and associated matters from a town planning and environment perspective, including any related transactional topics or judicial reviews. He worked as a lawyer at Banco Santander’s main offices. He is a member of the Madrid Bar Association since 2009. He leads the firm’s Hydrogen and Renewable Gases Group. He has lectured at several institutions, including Deusto Business School, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, the Spanish Renewable Energy Association (APPA), and the Spanish Club of Energy (Club Español de la Energía). He speaks regularly at forums and conferences.

Luis Villar is an economist from the Universidad Autonoma of Madrid and MBA from ESCP Europe. During the last two decades, Luis has worked in the energy sector as a strategic consultant as well as market, regulatory and financial advisor, with a strategic focus on renewables. Luis is an expert in energy economics and finance, markets and regulation of the Iberian electricity sector, having participated in relevant M&A transactions in the Iberian market as well as in international projects. Luis is founding partner of VOLTA Smart Energy, a company that, since November last year promotes, designs, executes and offers financial solutions to small and medium size companies for self-consumption and storage projects in the Spanish market.

Berto Martins is currently Director for Electricity Markets at EDP S.A. He is 53 years old, born and raised in Lisbon but with an academic degree completed at the Oporto University in 1990.In this same year, joined EDP to work at the National Dispatch for the Electric System and after some years moved to the System Optimization and Commercial Operations Division until 2002.When the liberalization process of the energy sector started in Portugal he moved to the team that created the Energy Management Division at EDP, implementing IT and business procedures for all Trading activities. EDP´s Electricity Markets Division is responsible for the management of the whole generation portfolio in the Iberian Market. Besides real-time optimization, these tasks include also Short/Medium Term Planning, Outages coordination, Bidding strategies on both Energy and Ancillary Services markets and real-time coordination with the Portuguese TSO.

Edwin founded Solarplaza company in 2004. He is a senior PV expert and started in the photovoltaic solar energy business in 1994. He has experience as a solar energy consultant and project developer in more than 200 PV projects. Edwin holds a Master’s degree in Chemical engineering and previously worked in the Chemical industry before starting his first consultancy company in PV in 1994.
