The solar industry observed many peaks and lows throughout 2014, though the outlook for 2015 trends upward from the previous year. This Top 10 based its results on the evaluation of the relative change of each stock from the market open on January 2, 2014 until the market close on December 31, 2014. Companies with the highest percentage increase made it into the Top 10, but because not every stock saw a boost in sales and share value due to the drastic drop in oil prices midway through the year, this list also incorporates the companies that suffered the least of all present stock listed solar companies from various markets around the globe.
