The utility-scale solar market in the Netherlands just isn’t slowing down. As is becoming almost predictable, 2021 was another record year with almost 3 GW of new capacity installed. This brings the cumulative installed capacity in the country to a whopping 10 GW (PV Magazine, 21 January 2021). And as always, this is still just the beginning, as long as upcoming challenges can be successfully overcome.
To gain a better understanding of the developments in the large-scale Dutch solar PV market, to keep track of important trends regarding applications, size, stakeholders and more, and to prepare for the The Solar Future NL Conference on 1 July 2021, we have published a new overview of the Top 50 operational solar plants in the Netherlands. The list mostly features ground-mounted projects, but also contains several floating projects as well as a large rooftop solar system.
