The utility-scale solar market in the Netherlands just doesn’t seem to be slowing down. Following an almost predictable trend, 2020 was another record year with almost 3 GW of new capacity installed. This brought the cumulative installed capacity in the country to a whopping 10 GW (PV Magazine, 21 January 2021). And, as always, this is still just the beginning, as long as the upcoming challenges can successfully be overcome.
To gain a better understanding of the developments in the large-scale Dutch solar PV market; keep track of important trends regarding applications, size, stakeholders, and more; we have published a new Top 40 overview of solar plants currently under construction in the Netherlands. The list mostly features ground-mounted projects but also contains two floating projects and one large carport project.
