Post-Show Report
In 2022, France's cumulative solar PV capacity reached over 13 GW. The French government is enforcing the country's ambitions to become a renewable energy leader by announcing the National Low Carbon Strategy, anchored in the Energy Transition Law of 2015.
The country recently announced the specific objective to triple that number by 2028 through a dedicated plan focused on PV. This plan is part of a broader energetic autonomy plan based on a Nuclear + Renewable Energy approach. In addition, the drawbacks and public opinion regarding wind energy, as well as the growing interest in emerging technologies such as Agri-PV, is adding to the momentum of solar development in France.
