Solarplaza Summit The Netherlands

The 14th edition of the Solarplaza Summit The Netherlands took place on 21 June 2022, in Utrecht. The event once again proved its solidified position as the leading Dutch PV industry platform for connecting key local and international market players.

This year, the Summit's topics revolved around the financial landscape for solar in the Netherlands, and the market outlook for a post-subsidy era. During insightful panel discussions, a key lesson emerged: PPAs are becoming increasingly important in the Dutch and European PV market, and the industry is thirsty for more knowledge when it comes to applying new financing forms. The new electricity price dynamics - caused by the Russian invasion of Ukraine, amongst other things - were also at the center of the discussions during the event, showing the urgent need to accelerate sustainable businesses.

It became clear that the sector still has hurdles to overcome, but that new business models, innovation, and new opportunities are rising on the horizon.
