With nearly 2 GW of installed PV capacity, and over 26 GW of realistic market potential, stellar solar growth is forecasted for the Balkan region in the near future. Among the various markets, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria and Slovenia show exceptionally high levels of untapped potential. Subsidy programs have begun to incentivize the installation of renewables in these markets. Moreover, as investors are increasingly drawn to the region, PPAs will play a central role in accelerating the number of PV projects.
