Exploiting the bull market phase for utility-scale PV & BESS in Italy

Founder and current President of ITALIA SOLARE, the Italian solar association. He has been a pioneer of photovoltaics since the early 1990s. In 2001, he founded Enerpoint, one of the leading companies in the sector. Today Rocco Viscontini manages Enerpoint's photovoltaic systems and collaborates as a strategic consultant for some of the most significant and innovative international photovoltaic companies.

Matteo is the Head of Italy at Aurora Energy Research. In this role, he leads the development of Aurora’s Italian practice, focusing on all aspects of the Italian power market – system development, strategy and financing with a focus on renewables and storage. Before joining Aurora in October 2020, Matteo was with The Brattle Group for 4.5 years, where he worked as a consultant on the financial aspects of infrastructure industries regulation. Matteo holds a M.Sc. degree in Economics from LUISS Guido Carli and the Quantitative Techniques for Economics and Management (QTEM) Master’s degree on Applied Economics and Public Policy from LUISS Guido Carli, Goethe University and ULB.
